I wanted to share my experience after searching for the right artist and shop for a tattoo I have envisioned for several years. Following the passing of my parents, I decided to finally move forward with the piece. After extensive research, I chose William at Mammoth American Tattoo. From my initial email to the consultation, the experience has been excellent. When I arrived at the shop, the staff was incredibly welcoming. William spent nearly an hour discussing the design and my requested changes with me. He provided great insights into color theory, explaining what would and wouldn't work to ensure the best result. I returned today to begin the tattoo, and both William and Ripley were fantastic. I am very happy with the linework completed during this first session. William also took the time to thoroughly explain the aftercare process. I will continue to share updates as we complete the piece, but I highly recommend William and Mammoth American Tattoo to anyone looking for a professional and welcoming shop.

Last week my wife and I were able to walk in for a tattoo with William. What started as a phone call to inquire about some finger tattoos turned into a fun and memorable experience. Initially my wife and I were looking to get flowers on our ring fingers but after talking with William, he suggested going in a different direction for multiple reason. While in the shop we all agreed that some consolation of our birth months would be a more realistic and ultimately better looking result. William is clearly an experienced owner and artist who is looking to help customers have high quality long lasting work. Between Ripley and William, Mammoth was pleasure to work with. The shop is clean with a cool and calm vibe. I will be going back for any of my next tattooing needs! Thanks Mammoth for the great experience.

I have been coming to this shop and recommending it for years so I can’t believe I haven’t left a review until now! Mammoth is the only shop I’ll go to in Denver, not because there aren’t other amazing shops and artists out there, but because Mammoth truly is something special. I have a specific artist I usually see, but every single artist there is incredible. They have a wide variety of styles but each artist can literally do anything you need. From bold American Traditional color to dark and moody to delicate and ornamental they truly have something for everybody. More than that, the atmosphere of the shop is what keeps me coming back. It feels like a neighborhood spot where you’re never a stranger. Everyone is so welcoming and kind and you’ll never feel uncomfortable or out of place. It’s not a place with big egos, but they run a tight ship and there’s never any monkey business. It’s the perfect mix of relaxed and professional. From first timers to seasoned pros, the shop will take care of anyone who walks through the door. It’s a shop for people that get it, but they’re never pretentious and the whole team is just genuinely cool people who love the art. Everyone with tattoos knows that people always ask where you go, and I have always been so proud to tell them I come to Mammoth American!

The best Tattoo shop I have ever been too! Very friendly and family type atmosphere. Great talented artist with great attitudes that make you feel right at home. Super creative work and easy to work with. Hard to get tattooed anywhere else after going here! Be sure to stop in and check them out if you can!

I got a tattoo with Owlyn yesterday at Mammoth and it was the best tattoo experience I've ever had. Owlyn was straightforward and so kind with his opinions and offerings, and helped my best friend and I size and place our matching tattoos to PERFECTION. Chatting with him was an extra magical bonus. I will most definitely work with Owlyn again!!
